Of the tolerance of Islam
It was said that Ali bin abi Taleb argued with a Jew on a sword .Each one said "This is mine".The both decided to go to Amir Almomeneen Omar as he was the Judge of the Muslims at that time.
Omar said to Ali "stand next to your opponent you Aba Alhasan".
Ali became so angry so that anger appears on his face. Omar asked him
"why did you get angry like this Aba Alhasan?" "Because you have
distinguished me on my opponent and named me Aba Alhasan "said Ali "for
me and him are alike and no one is better than the other even if we are
different on religion.
Here the Jew said "to this extent your religion directs you!! I swear
you are the best people by your manners and your religion is the most
tolerant and generous and you are right and I testify that there is no
God but Allah and I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of God. The
sword is yours Ali"
After that he became one of the best Muslims.
